Presentation Work

During my time working in local government, I contributed to a range of presentation materials designed to inform, engage, and support public-facing initiatives and internal communications. Whether drafting original PowerPoint decks, editing existing slides, or compiling key information from cross-departmental sources, I helped ensure presentations were clear, concise, and aligned with the goals of each project. These experiences strengthened my ability to translate complex ideas into visually engaging and accessible content.

Synopsis

From Scarcity to Support: The JBJ Food Bank Story

In collaboration with the Director of Human Services and a local councilperson, I contributed to the development of a presentation highlighting the critical role local food pantries played during the COVID-19 crisis in East Hampton. I formatted and assembled the deck, helped compile and draft initial content for several slides, and provided editing and proofreading support throughout. The presentation detailed the public health and economic challenges brought on by the pandemic, the unprecedented demand on food assistance systems, and the impactful partnership with the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which helped supply over 447,000 pounds of food to residents in need across the South Fork.

Designing for All: Senior Center Vision & Selection Presentation

I worked alongside the Town of East Hampton’s municipal leadership and department heads to create a presentation about the new Senior Community Center proposal. I formatted the presentation, assisted in compiling key project information, and helped draft and edit several slides. The presentation outlined the Town’s vision for an inclusive, net-zero energy facility designed to meet the evolving needs of its senior population. It emphasized expanded wellness and enrichment programs, enhanced accessibility, and a permanent home for the East Hampton Food Pantry.

Route 114 Affordable Housing Initiative Presentation

I supported the development of a presentation on East Hampton’s Route 114 affordable housing initiative, following the passage of Proposition 3. While I did not draft the content, I proofread the presentation thoroughly and formatted both the text and images to ensure clarity and visual flow. The presentation outlined the Town’s plan for a 50-unit, modular, sustainable housing project with varied unit sizes and green infrastructure. It emphasized inclusive design, community engagement, and the use of Design-Build services to streamline development on the 8.5-acre site.
