My graphic design experience is entirely self-taught and developed through hands-on, real-world projects. While I didn’t attend design school, I learned by doing—using a range of online design tools to create clear, compelling visuals. I was often asked to support a variety of municipal design needs, from signage placed on public property to flyers promoting community events.

In one example, I provided early feedback on the “For the Health of Our Community” flyer. The initial mockup prominently displayed the COVID-19 spike protein, which the councilperson and I felt might cause unnecessary distress. We suggested a more subtle, faded version of the image to maintain clarity without overwhelming viewers. This feedback was shared with the PR team leading the design, and the posted version reflects that collaborative, community-centered decision-making.

Across all my work, I’ve focused on producing visuals that are not only functional, but also thoughtfully designed to resonate with the intended audience.
